Jaquitta Mykea Jefferson Henry

Jaquitta Mykea Jefferson Henry-Sanders was born on June 10, 1991, in Columbia South Carolina, the beloved daughter of Patrick S. Henry Sr. and the late Angelina Ferguson Henry. Jaquitta entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at PRISMA Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina, at the age of thirty-four.

“Quitt” as she was affectionately called, attended West Charlotte High School. After graduating she continued her education at Central Point College in Charlotte, North Carolina. At the time of her untimely departure, Jaquitta was employed as a manager at Teleperformance in Columbia.

On June 18, 2018, Jaquitta married the love of her life and best friend, Brooke Sanders. 

She attended the Church of God and Christ under Pastor Craig Mayo. The hobbies she enjoyed the most were dancing and doing makeup under her self-made business Radiant Beauty. She enjoyed being a part of social clubs, shopping, and spending time with her loved ones.

Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories are her wife, Brooke Sanders; daughter, Mariah Warren; father, Patrick S. Henry, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Angela Jones;  five sisters, Shanesha Henry, Pasha Henry, Kamiya Henry, Jashannon McConnihead, and Shemia; six brothers, Patrick Henry Jr, Jadarius McConnihead, Douglas, Corey, Aaron, and Davonte; a niece;  a great number of nephews; a host of  aunts, uncles,  cousins and friends.

 Jaquitta was more than just an average woman, more than just another person in this world, she was an amazing mother, an amazing wife, as well as an amazing daughter, sister, and loyal and trusting friend to those around her. We will always remember her for her wits, her kindness, and her integrity. She was a true rarity and will be deeply missed. 

Quitt, we will always hold the things you said in our hearts. You have traveled to a place where we can’t go. When the angels called you, we just wish you didn’t answer, but we know you had to. We love you till forever ends. Rest now our radiant beauty.
