Janie Natt Obituary
Mrs. Janie Lee Natt was the 6th of seven children born to the late Esau Washington Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Washington on September 25, 1932 in Cayce, South Carolina. She departed this life Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home.
Janie was educated in Cayce School District One and matriculated to Cosmetology School where she became a certified cosmetologist. Janie worked for many years along side her late beloved sister, Mrs. Mary Bethea, the former owner of Waverly School of Beauty Culture School. Janie’s other work history included her employment at The Heart of Columbia Motel, The Town House Moter Inn, and the University of South Carolina in environmental services in the Department of Journalism until retirement.
Janie attended Bethel AME Church and loved the service and her wonderfully supportive church family.
She was preceded in death by one sister, and three brothers.
Her radiant life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family: daughter Geraldine Natt; son, John Natt Jr.; grandson, Cory Javon Lee; sister, Maple Phillips; special nephews, nieces, and a host of other family members.
