Herbert Goodson Obituary

Herbert Lee Goodson, affectionally known as “Lee” was born on September 29, 1999 in Columbia, South Carolina to Robert Goodson, Jr and Tahchee Wilson.  Lee entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2020.

Lee started his education in Richland County Schools District One before relocating to Virginia where he attended John Champe High School, Loudoun County Public Schools.  He was employed by Husqvarna in Shipping and Receiving until COVID-19.

Lee’s amazing character was defined by his life and ability to warm and charm the hearts of family and friends.  He was always willing to accept challenge which led him to participate in many extracurricular activities to include drama and sports. He participated in many sports: track, football, baseball and Basketball.  In basketball he received many accolades and his talents was captured in the Baltimore Sun newspaper. Oh yeah, tennis the sport only he remembered!

Everyone who truly got to know him knew that he was compassionate, charming, funny, silly and very colorful.  Lee had a clutch phrase for all of his problems “Aunt Kendra”; knowing she would step in at every cost to defend him and send pizzas to him miles away.

Lee, Man or LeeLee has a special place in the hearts of his grandparents and will be forever Loved.  Lee felt his life was RICH because of the people who loved him and “Lee Jeans” for using his name. Lee enjoyed life and open hearts with his affectionate smile and crazy hair styles.

He was preceded in death by his loving grandfather Herbert Lee Wilson, his great-grandmothers Mavis Thomas, Henrietta Goodson and Gladys Wilson and his great-grandfathers Hurley Pitts and John Wilson Sr.

Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories are his parents Robert (Tiffany) Goodson and Tahchee (Errick) Smith, sisters Renee and Megan Goodson, step siblings Errick Smith Jr., Rick Smith, Travon Joseph, Tate Daniels, Jasmine Daniels; grandparents Robert and Ollie Goodson, Betty and Robbie Mouzon; Aunt Kendra (Raymond) Hart; Uncles Randy (Tiffany) Goodson, Gary Noble, Ryant Noble, Kevin Noble; godmother Yolanda English.
