USAF Sergeant Harold Brown was the son of the late Curtis and Estella Brown. Harold was born in Saluda County, South Carolina on December 16, 1931 and entered his eternal rest on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the very home he personally hammered the nails to build, here in Columbia, South Carolina. Harold took so much pride in his home and loved when family and friends came to visit.
Harold attended Booker T. Washington High School prior to join-ing the Army Air Corps in1950, which was later renamed, the United States Air Force where he served as a Military Policeman. Harold was fortunate to be stationed in many places and got to travel and explore the world.
Harold possessed many skills and was able to earn income by having jobs in several of those areas, like a professional chef and an auto mechanic. One of his favorite jobs was when he was the head chef for a boys home in Brooklyn. Harold use to talk about having the opportunity to talk to the young men and have a positive impact on them. But most of us remember the boys loving Harold because his cooking was so good.
Harold met Joshie Mae during 1983 and they were inseparable ever since. Harold and Joshie were married on January 6, 2001 in an elaborate ceremony in the Oakridge Mansion in Queens, New York. Harold and Joshie relocated from Queens, New Year to Columbia, South Carolina in 2004 where they were faithful members of The Church of Harvest. Harold and Joshie's union blended a family which yielded 8 children.
Harold will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
