Grace Yon Taylor

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

On Thursday, August 8, 2019, at Palmetto Health Richland, God, in His infinite wisdom, called Grace Yon Taylor to rest from her journey here on earth.

Mrs. Taylor was born on July 3, 1939, in North, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Yon and Everlina Stevenson Yon. Later, she met and married Robert Louis Taylor in Columbia, South Carolina. To this union, they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Linda, Gwen, and Tammy whom they loved and cherished so much.

Mrs. Taylor received her education in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She found God at an early age, believing that with God, everything is possible.

Her life was centered around her family, giving, love, and support that will never be forgotten. She will always be remembered as a strong, gracious, faithful servant of God.

Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by both parents and her husband Robert L. Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Linda Taylor-Boyer, Gwendolyn Taylor, and Tammy Taylor all of Columbia, South Carolina; four grandchildren, LaYonya, LaNesha, Stephanie, and AJ; five great-grandchildren, Gracie, Samari, Taylor, Christopher, and Jaxon; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Boyd; and a host of relatives and friends.
