Glenn Dale Evans was born November 9, 1960, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late Aaron and Elizabeth Dickerson Evans. He departed this earthy life on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Affectionately called “Round” by family and friends, Glenn was educated in the public schools of Richland School District One where he graduated from A. C. Flora High School. He continued his education at Midlands Technical College and Vorhees College. He was employed as a truck driver for more than 40 years.
He was united in holy matrimony to the former Jeanette Bookman, a union that was blessed with love, devotion and happiness.
Glenn enjoyed playing dominos, card games, basketball and watching his favorite team, the Steelers. He also enjoyed collecting various types of cars.
Glenn was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. His daughter Tamika and brother Carlton cared for him until the end. Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those who loved and knew him.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice Dickerson; and his brother, Reginald Evans.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Glenn are his wife, Jeanette Bookman Evans; daughter, Tamika Evans; brothers, Alban Evans, Carlton (Jackie) Evans, Curtis Evans and Aaron Evans; sisters, Darlene Evans and Evelinda Evans; a host of nieces, nephews, and his special friend since elementary school, Von Jones; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
