George “Mann” Scott, Jr. was born January 6, 1981, in Columbia, South Carolina. He was the beloved son of Estella Moses Scott and George Scott, Sr. He was called to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
George attended W. J. Keenan High School and graduated in the class of 1999. Upon completing his education, he joined the United States Army. Suring his service time he received the Army Lapel Button, the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he worked as Logistic Contractor for the United States Army.
George was the Founder and CEO of RatchetFridayMedia, Nobility Lifestyles and Major Moves Marketing (MMP).
Those who knew him, knew he loved Marvin Gaye. He was a loving and devoted father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. Though he is no longer physically with us, his loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all who loved and knew him.
Those who will forever cherish his fond and precious memories of George are his three (3) children, Jayla and Jordin Scott (Mother, Jacquita Scott) of Charlotte, NC; Airman First Class, Jaylen Scott (Mother Regina Baker) of Jacksonville, FL; his parents, Estella (Calvin Goodwin) M. Scott and George Scott, Sr., both of Columbia, SC; two loving sisters, Tamisha L. Scott and Tierra D. Scott, both of Columbia, SC; his nephew, Kysen Bellamy of Columbia, SC; a life-long devoted friend and cousin, Terje Pollard of Greenville, SC; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by his departure, but rejoiced that he is resting with the Lord.
