Floretha Pershae

Floretha Pershae entered into eternal peace with God on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Providence Health Hospital.  She was born on October 15, 1934 in Vance, South Carolina to the late Salas and Emma Pershae.

Floretha was formally educated and attended Holley Hill High School.  She lived in New York most of her life and did domestic work.

Floretha only child, Anthony Cook lives in Hopkins, South Carolina and she returned back home to be with him.  She was a wonderful mother and loved being with family.  She had a kind, caring and loving personality.  To know her was to love her.

Floretha was preceded in death by her parents, Salas and Emma Pershae; brothers, Salas Pershae, Jr. and Mack Pershae; sisters, Willie Mae Chapman, Emma James Simmons and Martha Cadson.

Floretha’s precious memories will be cherished by her loving son, Anthony (Thelma) Cook; grandchildren, Jerell Cook, Mathew Cook and Qunisna Cook; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Carrie Jamison, Flossie Pershae, Grace Olive and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by her passing, but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.
