Felicia Cornelia Oree-Lee AKA “Queen” was born on August 1, 1978, to Phillippia Oree and the late Michael Oree. She gained her wings on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
She attended the public schools of Richland County School District One, graduating from Eau Claire High School as a Mighty Shamrock in 1996. She continued her education and attended Columbia College studying Early Childhood Education, following her dreams of becoming a teacher to the younger generation.
Felicia worked for many years as a Medical Biller and Office Manager, ultimately becoming a Medical Billing and Coding Instructor at Remington College. She recently followed her passion for teaching children and started privately tutoring two exceptional young people that she loved very much.
She married her love, Stoba (Tony) Lee on June 22, 2008, after meeting and bonding over their love of music. Together they shared 14 wonderful years of love and devotion to each other.
Felicia, “Licia” to family and “Queen” to friends, was a ray of light to many, genuine at heart, she had an infectious laughter, a great sense of humor, and was a straight shooter, not ever afraid to speak her mind, or admit when she was wrong.
She was incredibly talented and had a passion for the arts. In her free time, she would often sketch pictures and write poetry. She even wrote an extraordinary play when she was younger. Felicia had a major love for all genres of music including, Reggae, Hip Hop, Pop, and Neo Soul. She took her love for music in the studio where she helped artist produce music.
She enjoyed recreating Aunt Lorretta’s baked delicacies, grilling, and watching anything on Food Network. She also loved hosting Family and Friends, and visiting her sacred space, the beach. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Oree; and brother-in-law, Franklin Lee, Jr.
Those cherishing Felicia’s fond and precious memories are her loving and devoted husband, Stoba Lee; loving stepson, Trevaris Benjamin; her loving mother, Phillippia Oree; loving sister, Melissa Joy (Pape’) Oree-Gadiaga; caring sisters-in-law, Brenda Ravenell, and Lutricia Marion; caring aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews from her sister and brother from other mothers; loving goddaughter, Morgynne Johnson; and her very special friends, Shauna Caldwell, Jauris “Jay” Shaw, Latanya Taylor-Pough, Damita (Dee) Trapp, and Lola Kelly-Smalls; along with other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom are sadden by her departure, but rejoice that she is with the Lord.
