Evangelist Thomasena Moore Williams gained her wings on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Prisma Baptist in Columbia, SC. She was a beloved daughter of the late Deacon L.C. Moore and the late Fannie Roseborough Moore Anderson.
Sena, as she was affectionately called by her family and friends was born in Blaney, SC on June 29, 1952. She received her religious training at Fort Clark Baptist Church, where she was baptized July 1964. She was a member of the gospel choir, a Sunday school teacher, missionary, served on the usher board, youth ministry, prayer ministry, women’s ministry, concert choir, #2 singing convention and secretary of the singing union. She was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School and Fort Clark Biblical Institute. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Walter Williams, Jr.
She retired from Midlands Center as a Mental Retardation Specialist. She was a born-again child of God, that loved to preach and teach God’s word. She loved the Lord, her family, church family and her many friends. She had nothing but encouraging words to all that she came in contact with, a beacon of light and a cheerful giver from her heart. She loved gardening and sewing, in which she made over 1,000 masks that she gave away, most importantly she loved reading her bible, the word of God. She also had a love for her cats.
Sena was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her brother, Calvin Moore.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Walter Williams, Jr; four sisters, Hattie Moore and Gloria Moore of Elgin, SC. Mary (Kenneth) Harris of West Heaven Connecticut and Ethel Williams of Hasting, Oklahoma; two brothers, Roscoe (Alberta) Moore of Columbia, SC and Ray (Evelyn) Moore of Lugoff, SC; father-in law, Walter Williams, Sr of Las Vegas; two sisters-in law and three brothers-in law; God children, Kayla (JaDon) Redmond, Vanessa Robertson, Tony (Karina) Williams, Jr and King Joel Fulks. She is also survived by her many spiritual sons and daughters and very close friends, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles all of whom will miss her dearly.
