Eugene Burton

Eugene Burton, 74 passed away early Saturday morning August 25, 2018 at home in Irmo, S.C.

He was born in White Rock, S.C.  on March 19, 1944, son of the late Jessie and Helen Burton. He is survived by his spouse Shirley Burton and his four daughters; Felicia (Steffone) Lybrand, of Columbia, S.C., Jeannene (Rodney) Miller, of Columbia, S.C., Leucretia Burton, of Irmo, S.C. and Eugenia (George) Wooten, of Irmo S.C. He is also, survived by his nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, eight siblings, their spouses and numerous nieces, nephews.

He loved gardening, fishing and he was self- taught in the skills of carpentry, in which he could craft and build anything for anyone. His natural love for all things wood, superseded, by his love for people; especially his family. His infectious smile and legacy will be permanently engraved in our hearts for years to come.
