Estella James Robinson

Estella James Robinson, of Columbia, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. She was born on August 21, 1943 to the    late Johnny P. James and Frances J. James of Jenkinsville, South Carolina.

Estella graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She worked in various job positions and retired after many years as a caregiver.

Estella, known affectionally as Stella was a believer of Christ and served as a Stewart through her love for others.

Stella was a loving mother, grandmother, auntie, sister and loved all who she encountered. Stella also was kind-hearted, generous, and loved her family and friends greatly. She was a strong woman that enjoyed working with flowers and plants, cooking special dishes, and traveling. Her family and friends will always treasure her warm smile, funny jokes, and tender voice.

Stella was preceded in death by her father, Johnny P. James; mother, Frances E. James; and brother, Johnny (Harvey) P. James, Jr.

Stella leaves to cherish precious memories her children, Debora Delores (Robert) Gray, Michael Anthony (Cheryl) Robinson, and Sharon Denise (Michael) Brown all of Columbia, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one beloved sister, Bertha (James) Goins of Jenkinsville, South Carolina; her beloved sister-in-law, Barbara Grant and a special friend, Wilma Belton of Columbia, South Carolina and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
