Ernest Richardson, Jr.

Ernest Richardson Jr., known affectionately as "Duck,' of  Columbia, SC, passed away on April 16,2024, at the age of  72, He was born on June 25, 1951,in Richland County,  South Carolina. 

Ernest was a hard worker who was dedicated to his family.  He had a successful career in dry wall finishing and found  joy in his hobbies of fishing, playing cards, and telling  fishing stories 

He is survived by his loving son, Antonio Richardson of  Columbia, SC; his daughter, Denisetra Richardson of  Staten Island, NY; his sisters, Barbara Johnson of  Columbia, SC, Geraldine Wider of Hopkins, SC, and Janice  Dukes of Lexington, SC; his brothers, Odell and Stanley  Richardson of Newark, NJ, Raymond and Steven  Richardson of Columbia, SC; and his grandchildren, 'Tiaucia, Dallas, Jamal Jr., Justin, Janae, Tamara, Kiana, Khloe, and Antonio Jr. and nieces and nephews.

Ernest was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sheryl; his father, Ernest Richardson (Maxine); his mother, Jessie  Mae Richardson; his brother, Johnny Lee Richardson; and  his brother-in-law, John Johnson. 

Duck will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
