Elizabeth J. Hall

Elizabeth Jones Hall was born in Ridge Springs, South Carolina on December 15, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Helen Miles and the late J.T. Jones. Mrs. Hall departed this earthly life on April 6, 2020.

Elizabeth attended school in Ridge Springs, South Carolina as a youth and after moving to Columbia, South Carolina she continues her education in the public schools of Richland County.

Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hall was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband Mr. Thomas R. Hall, Sr. for 66 years before he preceded her in death on June 13, 2012. Their union was blessed with eight children whom they nurtured and loved dearly.

Mrs. has remained a loyal and faithful member of Zion Baptist Church for more than 50 years. As a member of Zion Baptist Church in Columbia, SC she served as a Deaconess, member of the Arsenal Hill Circle, United Christian Women, and the Senior Day Camp. When her health allowed, Mrs. Hall participated in many church related programs and activities.

Elizabeth dedicated her early years of marriage to rearing her eight children at home as a proud mother and housewife. She later secured employment in Richland School District One in the foodservice department until her retirement in 1995.

Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hall leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughters, Cynthia E. Hall, Carolyn (George) Jennings, and Holly (Frank) Wilson; her sons, Thomas (Dinah) Hall, Jr., Allen (Linda) Hall, Steve (Blondell) Hall, Robin Hall, Craig (Elizabeth) Hall, and Allen (Deborah) Stewart; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
