Edward Roach Jr. was born December 24, 1936, in Swansea, South Carolina, the eldest of ten children. Roach, as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was the son of the late Edward Roach Sr. and Katie Bell Zeigler. Edward completed his journey here on earth on Sunday October 5, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Roach was educated in Lexington County and proudly attended Monroe Pinckney School. He was a dedicated drywall contractor known for his exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to excellence in the construction industry. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for his work, Roach transformed countless spaces, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of collaborating with him. His legacy of professionalism and artistry will be deeply missed by family, friends, and colleagues alike.
Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love and devotion to all those who loved and knew him.
Roach leaves to cherish his memories children a son, Hozell (Linda) Mills of Lexington, SC; and daughter of the home, Charlotte (David) Myers; one son-in-law, Alvertes Washington of Gaston, SC; five siblings, Linda Roach, Freddie Harley, Johnny Roach, Jimmy (Christine) Roach and Betty Roach; five grandchildren, Charity, Nikkolas, Broderick, Victoria, Justin and Alex’Andria; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss him.
