Dora Jennings

On Wednesday September 15, 2021, Mrs. Dora Jennings made the transition to her heavenly home. Dora was born to Hubbard and Emily Lewis on March 8, 1945, in Deberry, Texas.

Dora worked many jobs as a cook and also took care of six children.  She especially loved all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She loved her granddaughter Emily with all her heart. She enjoyed cooking, fishing and she never met a stranger.

Dora was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dovey Jennings; parents, Hubbard and Emily Lewis;  sister, Martha Dean; brother, Hubbard Lewis, Jr. and youngest daughter, Carol Jennings.

Dora Jennings leaves to cherish her precious memories, her daughter, who loved and cared for her, Arletha Jennings; her sons, Dovey (Lynn) Jennings, III, Victor Jennings, Bruce (Jocelyn) Jennings and Dexter (Lorraine) Jennings and a host of other loving aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
