Donna Eileen Martin

Donna Eileen Martin, was the youngest of three girls, born on October 22, 1954 to the late Mildred and Charles Martin in Hartford, Connecticut. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center.

She was educated in Hartford, Connecticut County public schools and a graduate of the University of Hartford.

Donna accepted Christ at an early age at Whitehall AME Church. She was a member of the gospel choir, kitchen ministry and the secretary of the Women’s Missionary Society.

She retired from SCE&G/Dominion Energy after 37 years of employment.

Donna was a very loving and affectionate person, who never met a stranger.  She had a passion for people.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pamela E. Martin.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her only daughter, Sharita Martin of Jenkinsville, SC; one granddaughter, Nevaeh Martin of Jenkinsville, SC; one sister, Linda Brewer of Hartford, Connecticut; two nieces, Debbie Brewer and Shelby Brewer of Hartford, Connecticut; a life partner of 39 years, Melvin James White and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
