Deonte Ramal Seabrook, Sr.

Deonte Ramal Seabrook, Sr., was born on October 18, 1993, to Patricia Ann Nelson and Donte Lamar Seabrook, Sr., in Charleston, SC.  Our beloved son, father, brother, family member, and friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 9, 2019.  He was better known as “Deon”, “De”, or “Chuck” to family and friends but affectionately known by his twin as “Bubba”. Deonte was the youngest of his siblings. 

He attended school in Charleston, SC and Kaiserslautern, Germany before attending and graduating high school in Columbia, SC.  Deonte went on to work at the United Parcel Service before an injury ended his budding career.  Although, only 25 years of age at the time of his passing, he touched many hearts.  Taking care of his son and making sure that he knew he was loved were top priorities to him.  Alongside his son, his favorite past times were cars, culinary arts, and spending time with family and friends.  Deonte tried to present a tough exterior but maintained a heart of gold despite life’s ups and downs.  Always and forever will he be known as a beautiful person who cared for others before himself.

Deonte leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Deonte R. Seabrook, Jr.; his parents, Patricia A. Nelson (Daniel Green, Jr.-of love) and Donte L. Seabrook, Sr. (Dorothy); siblings, Ray C. Gowans, Jr. (Linda), Patrick A. Gowans (Shaneka-of love), Marissa A. Gowans (Rashard Moseley-of love), Candace N. Wilson, Donte L. Seabrook, Jr. (Rashawna); bonus siblings, David J. Hawkins, III, Daelyn J. Hawkins, Larry D. Meadows, Jr., and Lawren D. Meadows; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends like family.

Fond memories of Deonte will always be in the hearts of everyone he touched.  He may be gone but will never be forgotten.  He will always be loved, cherished, and missed.  May the precious memories we all share comfort us through the difficult days, weeks, and months that lie ahead.
