Denise S. Ball

Ms. Denise S. Ball was born on September 26, 1990, in Columbia, SC.  She was the beloved daughter of Inez Ball Perry and Tracy Todd.  On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, Denise departed this earthly life for eternal rest with God at Prisma Health Richland, Columbia, SC.

Denise was educated in the public schools of Richland County.  She later went on to pursue her education and obtained her Associate’s degree in Child Development.  An area in which she showed love to children.

Denise lived a full and happy life.  She was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend.  She had a heart of gold.  She believed in family first. We all know that Denise was one to speak her mind and made sure her point got across.  Denise was a God-fearing woman who believed in the power of prayer.  Her loyalty and compassion were beyond what words could describe.  She had a smile that would light up the room.  She was a fighter!  She was both a Heart and Lupus Warrior!

Denise was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Daryl Ball and Barbara Brown; paternal grandmother Beverly Yarborough.

Denise leaves to cherish precious memories: her loving and devoted mother Inez Ball (Andre) Perry of Lexington, SC, father Tracy Todd of Columbia, SC;   beloved son, Darnell Akers of Columbia, SC; three brothers, Detrail Ball, Tevin Ball and Nelson Todd all of Columbia, SC; grandmothers Dagmar Ball and Mary Ball both of Columbia, SC; grandfather Donnie Todd of Ohio; five aunts, Lashanda (Warren) Ball, Diedra Ball, Tamara (Brian) Sumter, Tracie Mitchum and Renee (Eric) Palmer all of Columbia, SC; uncle Frankie (Kim) Yarborough of Albany, New York, a special cousin Jaquanda Ball of Columbia, SC;  as well as a host of great aunts,  great uncles, cousins,  and caring friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
