Demetrius Dwight

Demetrius Dwight was born August 10,1991. in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Johnny Maurice Dupree and Tina Moore.  At two weeks old, he was adopted by Rev. William and Thelma Dwight of Eastover, SC. He transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. 

Demetrius was educated in the public school system of Richland County School District One and Hope Academy. At an early age, he was a dedicated drummer at Zion Damascus #1 Baptist Church where he served faithfully.  He worked in manufacturing and the food industry until his move to Greer, SC to pursue truck driving.

Those left to cherish his beautiful and fond memories are his beloved parents, Rev. William and Thelma Dwight of Eastover, SC; brothers, William (Tanae) Dwight IV of Columbia, SC; Tyrone Dwight of Columbia, SC; William Dupree of Columbia, SC; and Bryan Hampton of Columbia, SC; his sister, Shameka (Derrick) Stephney of Blythewood, SC; loving relatives from New Jersey, Shonquell Moore, Elijah Dupree, Ja’mere Warford, Thomas Warford, and a host of other loving relatives and friends to cherish his beautiful and fond memories.  Demetrius will truly be missed.
