Deloris Entzminger Simon was born January 3, 1953, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Benjamin A. Entzminger, Sr. and Lois Seals Entzminger. She entered the Lord’s Kingdom on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at MUSC Northeast.
Affectionately called “Sue,” by family and friends, Deloris attended Richland County public schools and was a graduate of Eau Claire High School. She was employed as a registered nurse for many years at various hospitals, nursing homes, state agencies and other facilities.
Throughout her life, Deloris enjoyed traveling in and out of the country, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
Deloris was a loving mother, sister, and aunt. She was a woman of integrity, kindness, and courage. She will always be remembered for the positive ways she touched the lives of others.
Surviving is her son, Daniel E. Simon; brothers, Benjamin A. Entzminger, Jr. and Herbert Entzminger; sisters, Pattie Entzminger (Michael) Field and Lillie M. Entzminger; nephews, Joseph C. (Stephanie) Harris, Jr. and Aubrey M. Harris; niece, Kenora N. Entzminger; grandnephew, Joseph C. Harris, III; aunt, Jessie M. Seals and a host of other relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.
