Delores E. Hutto Craft Obituary

Delores Elizabeth Hutto Craft was born September 4, 1941, in Orangeburg County, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Hutto Lewis. She entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Educated in the public schools of Richland School District One, Delores was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School.  She was employed with the State of South Carolina where she retired from Midland Center after many years of dedicated service, working with children with disabilities.

Delores was a member of Progressive Church of Eastover for many years where she attended faithfully until her health declined. Though unable to physically attended, she continued to praise, serve and love God until the very end of her life.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, whom she adored. Delores will also be remembered for her love of gardening, shopping and helping others whenever she could. Her wisdom was truly a gift from God, and she could be counted on if someone needed advice or counseling.

Though she is no longer physically with us, she has left a legacy of love to all those who loved her and will fondly be remembered by all those whose lives she so lovingly touched.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon E. Lewis, and Precious Z. Craft Cannon; son, Eric D. Craft; and grandson, Desmond Lewis.

Those who are forever cherishing fond and precious memories of Delores are her loving and devoted son, Raymond W. Craft III; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will early miss her, but rejoice that she is now resting with the Lord.
