Deaconess Dianna "Mooch" Anderson Corbett Obituary

Deaconess Dianna Anderson Corbett was born January 4, 1938, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Jessie Rayford and Emma Anderson Hodges. She departed this earthly life for eternal life with the Lord at her residence surrounded by her children, on Monday, January 19, 2026.

“Mooch,” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Richland County where she attended  Booker T. Washington High School. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Deacon Lowman “Snook” Corbett with whom she spent many years of love and devotion before he went home to be with the Lord.

Dianna was employed with the Glenn and Eggleston Families for many years. She will be remembered for her ability to prepare wonderful meals that were filled with love; and that she loved to prepare and celebrate with food alongside her family.

Deaconess Corbett loved God and was a faithful and longtime member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, a member of the Missionary Ministry, and the Jubilee Choir.

Dianna loved life and being around family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who has left a legacy of love that will forever be cherished by all those who loved and knew her.

In addition to her husband, and parents, she was also preceded in death by  her son, Henry Corbett; brothers, Paul and Sam Amderson; and sisters, Emma Anderson and Mary L. Jackson.

She leaves to cherish fond and precious memories to her loving children, LeRoy (LuLu) Anderson, Sr., Lowman (Pamela) Corbett, Jr., John Corbett, Zanthea (Louis Jr.) Anderson, and Gloria “Tiny” Corbett; thirteen (13) grandchildren; ten (10) great-grandchildren; her loving sister, Linda (Ronald) Hollis; a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her, but rejoice that she is now with the Lord.
