Deacon Olin King Kelly was born October 3, 1950, in Columbia, South Carolina, the son of the late William and Geneva Tucker Kelly. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was seventy-five years old.

Olin attended Richland Two Public Schools where he graduated from Spring Valley High in the Class of 1969. He then became employed with Allied Chemical Corporation in 1971 where he worked as a control room operator. He worked at Allied Chemical for the duration of his working years. The fruit of the Spirit was evident in every aspect of his life as he was one of the most loving, selfless, kind, patient, and goodhearted individuals one could ever meet.

Olin always kept his hands busy as he enjoyed fixing things including automobiles, appliances, and electronics. He had a passion for taking pictures and would bring along a camera for nearly every family gathering or vacation. Olin had an appreciation for the game of Chess and delighted in the occasional challenge with his brothers, son, or grandchildren whenever he could. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

In addition to his parents, Olin was preceded in death by his brothers, Stanley and David (Diane), and sisters, Willie Mae, Jennifer, and Geneva Lee.
