David Rickey Anderson

A Time to Live. David Rickey Anderson transitioned from his earthly home on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Sailsbury, North Carolina. He was born December 10, 2003. The son of Mirinda Lorraine Hopkins Anderson and the late Rickey Anderson, Jr. He grew up in a lovingChristian home.

 A Time to Learn. David attended the public schools of Richland School District #2. He graduated from Willow Gray in 2021.

A Time to Work. David always maintained employment, recently at FedEx and self employed with Door Dash. David also worked at Taco Bell, Belk Distribution, Home Depot Distribution, Wendy’s, Firehouse Subs, McDonald’s, McCallister and KFC.

A Time to Serve. David grew up attending Adams Northeast AME Church with his parents. David loved music and dabbled in rapping and writing lyrics. He loved his family and eating snacks.

A Family Time. David is survived by his mother, Mirinda Lorraine Hopkins Anderson; brothers, Dominic L. Miller of Bishopville, SC and Matthew Joseph Trull of the home; grandfather, Rickey Anderson, Sr. of Columbia, SC; aunts, Marlene Anderson of Columbia, SC, Felecia (Jamail) Benn of West Columbia, SC, Beverly (Robert) Petty of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Bobby Anderson of Columbia, SC, Joe L. Hopkins of Melbourne, FL and Leonard (Jamie) Hopkins of Carrolton, VA; adopted uncle, Quintonm Landrum of Irmo, SC; godparents, Trinai (Donald) Palmer of Columbia, SC and Jamail Benn of West Columbia, SC; godsister, Keyanna Sims of Columbia, SC; godbrother, Andre’ Harvin of Myrtle Beach, SC and a host of cousins and friends.

A Heavenly Reunion. David Rickey Anderson was proceeded in death by his father, Rickey Anderson, Jr. and grandparents, Joe L. and Mary P. Hopkins and Arlene Merritt Anderson.
