David Lekatrel McCullough was born to Vernon L. McCullough and Tracy R. Taylor in Columbia, SC, at Richland Memorial Hospital on November 16, 1986. David was affectionately known as "Lil Snoop," as a teenager and fondly called "Snook," by his mother. He went home to be with the Lord peacefully on April 8, 2020, in Greenville, SC.
At an early age, David became a member of Calvary Community Church, in West Columbia, where Apostle and Prophetess Lavern Williams presided. He attended the Irmo public schools. David opened his own landscaping business while still in middle school, and worked many jobs serving in the Irmo community until his health declined.
David was a big fan of the Washington Redskins, the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Gamecocks, he enjoyed baseball, and his favorite color was red. His favorite movie was LIFE and his favorite rapper was Lil Boosie. David valued family time and loved to eat fish and fried chicken. He was known for his kind and humble spirit as he often checked on his family and friends and played games on Facebook. David was very particular about maintaining his hair and clothes.
David was raised by the late Robert Holliday and his mother Tracy Taylor. David, who suffered from sickle cell anemia, became an advocate for sickle cell anemia.
David was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Lewis Duncan.
David leaves to cherish, his memories, his siblings, Robert Jr., Raynel, Kayla, Donte, Xavier, Aja, Kobe, Kiannah, Destiny, and Saniyah, Jonathan, Justin, Vernon, and Cameron, his grandparents, Orphelia Taylor Duncan, John McCullough, and Pricilla McCullough, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends and other relatives.
