Darron "Pete" Peterson was born on June 8, 1968 to the late Willie and Juanita Peterson in Washington, DC. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in Annapolis, MD.
He was a graduate of Bladensburg High School in Prince George's County and later became a transit bus operator for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority for 24 years.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and listening to music by artists such as Marvin Gaye, Rare Essence, and other old school classics. He loved cooking, attending car shows, watching boxing, and his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents Willie and Juanita Peterson and loving brother Orlando "Lane" Cheeseboro.
Darron leaves behind to cherish his loving memories: daughter, Shaneka Philson and granddaughter Zyona Jordyn of Camp Springs, MD; along with six other children that he took on as being a fatherly figure to include: Deon Peterson, Jessica and Jasmine Greenwell, Shardae, Simone, and Sydney Shellman. He also leaves to mourn his siblings: Brenda Robinson and Linda Peterson of Landover, MD; and Michael (Carolyn) Cooper of Columbia, SC. His fiance and love of his life, Waynette Shellman of New Carrollton, MD, who he was expecting to marry in October of this year and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who are also left to mourn.
