Daeun Mercelis Odom

Daeun Mercelis Odom was born on Feburary 19, 2007 to Chautuaqua Jones and Mercelis Odom. He departed this life on July 31, 2021.

At an early age Daeun had a smile and charm that would light up any room. He was a former member of the West Columbia Tigers where he played since the age of 8 and was also a standout player on the Brookland Cayce JV Team.  Daeun was loved and admired and unforgetable wherever he went.

He left his imprint on many hearts but those left to his cherish his memories, he left behind his parents, Chautuaqua Jones and Mercelis Odom; step-mother, Juanita Ellison; brother, Da’Qarius Odom; step-brothers, Zeloni Ellison and Montrell Keel; grandparents, Valerie Jones, Kenny Simmons, Rosalind Harrison Brown, Sammie Lee Brown and Dudley Mack; great-grandmothers, Loretta Daniels, Mary Simmons and the late Vernaree Harrison and a host of aunts, uncles and other loving relatives whom will miss Daeun dearly.
