Mrs. Fair was affectionately called, “Nealie” by friends and family who knew her well. She was educated in Columbia, South Carolina public schools, and a graduate of the first graduating class of C. Later she worked at Custom Cleaners, at Shakespeare's Heating and Installation and retired as a domestic worker.

Mrs. Fair was first married to the late Willie James Davis and, to this union Mrs. Fair was blessed with one daughter, Ophelia T. Bolder.  She was later united in Holy Matrimony to the late married  Charles H. Fair, Jr.

Cornelia was a faithful member of Sidney Park C. M. E Church. During her tenure, she served as an usher and in the Missionary Ministry. She was an avid community member with St. Anna’s Park Community Center for several years, contributing to their neighborhood programs. She was a friend and caregiver for her family and many members of the community.
