Corey Stephen Coleman a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, loyal friend, and proud United States Army veteran, was born on September 5, 1986, in Newark, New Jersey. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 3, 2026.

During his early years of learning, Corey attended Sumter High School and was a proud member of the Class of 2005.

Corey was a man whose presence brought strength, laughter, and comfort to everyone around him. He was not only a dedicated partner, but also a best friend and constant source of strength and support to his family. Through life’s challenges, Corey uplifted others with encouragement, love, and unwavering loyalty.

He proudly served his country as a decorated Army Veteran, carrying that same sense of honor, discipline, and commitment into every aspect of his life. Beyond his service, Corey was known for his deep love of family, his genuine friendships, and his ability to make those around him feel valued and supported.

Corey had a passion for sports, especially cheering on his favorite teams, the New York Giants, the New York Knicks, and the Georgia Bulldogs. Whether watching a game or spending time with loved ones, he created lasting memories filled with joy and connection.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Alexandra Greggs-Coleman; and their children, Joseph and Jeremiah; his mother, Stephanie (Diane) Wilson; his father, Ramon Coleman; sisters, Adriana Coleman and Kiyanna Lawrence; and his brother, Stephen Coleman. He is also survived by his godparents, Sherfonda and Antron Myers; his favorite aunt, TeeTee; his favorite uncle, Harry Wilson Jr.; special extended family, Tim and  Pam Davis; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family, dear friends, and his military family, all of whom will dearly miss him.

Corey’s legacy of love, strength, loyalty, and dedication will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
