Cora L. Cobb

On Friday, July 24, 2020, Cora Lee Cobb departed this life to be with her heavenly father at the age of 89 years old.  She was born on September 19, 1930 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Leddie Mayers and Mary Wise.

Cora graduated from C.A. Johnson High School in 1948.  She was a seamstress and baker for over 70+ years and also worked as an administrative assistant for 25+ years. 

Cora loved her family and was a loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  She was a dedicated member of Dennis Chapel Baptist Church until her health started to decline.  Cora was a woman of strong faith and finished her journey strong. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leddie Mayers and Mary wise; step-father, Elbert Wise and godson Oscar Cooper.   

Cora is survived by her sister, Carolyn Jones; nieces, Tamara (Richard) Heatly and Cleva (Micheal) Williams all of Columbia, South Carolina and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

We are forever grateful to have had this time with Cora and her passing will forever leave a void in the hearts of all who loved and knew her.
