Connie Mae Rodall-Coles Obituary

Connie Mae Coles was the daughter of the late Simon and Late Gertude Rodall. She was born in Allendale, South Carolina on June 1, 1946.

Connie graduated from the Allendale County School system in 1964. She retired from the Walter-Reed hospital in Washinton DC after 30 years of service. During her employment, she was acknowledged for outstanding services and receive many awards. Connie was raised in a Christian home, she was baptized and joined Macedonia CME Church before residing in Washington DC. She then moved to Columbia, SC, and joined Bethlehem Baptist Church. Connie was married to her beloved Johnnie D Coles.

Connie was preceded in death by Lottie Patterson, Mary Glover, Edna Riley, Ann Williams, Christine Johnson, Thomas Rodall, Richard Rodall, Willie Williams, Bobby Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, devoted cousins, loving friends, and loving mother-in-law Hannah Coles.

Connie found the energy, to do many things during her time here. She was a teacher, cook, nurse, and counselor to her children and grandchildren. No one could see how she did it all, being a best friend to her granddaughter Madison, picking the kids up from school, helping them with their homework and cooking a hot meal every day despite doing Dialysis three times a week. Connie, we love you and thank you for it all. 

Connie entered eternal rest Friday, July 16, 2021, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia, SC

She leaves her beautiful memories to: her loving husband, Johnnie Coles of Irmo, SC, two sons, Keith (Charlene) Rodall of Chapin, SC, Michael Patterson (Allison) of Greenville, SC, four grandchildren, Tevin (Briana) Fullington of Lake Wales, FL, Cha’Kei Rodall, Madison and Peyton Rodall of Chapin, SC. One sister Marian Gomillion of Washington DC, Uncles, Freddie Rodall of Petersburg, VA, Isaiah Rodall of Jacksonville FL, One aunt Catherine Berger of Chatham, VA, Brother-in-law William Coles of Charlotte, NC and a very close and dear friend Elaine Gadson.
