Cloudia Clay Price was born March 12, 1936, in North, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Lemuel and Esther Thompson. She departed this earthly life on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Cloudia was educated in the public schools of Orangeburg County in South Carolina.
She was united in Holy Matrimony for sixty-five (65) years to Arthur Lee Price. Together they shared a life of love and devotion to each other, and the love of a blessed family.
Cloudia was an expert seamstress who worked for Overhaul Services for many years.
Mrs. Price was a longtime, faithful member of Zion Pilgrim Batist Church where she loved singing, teaching Sunday School, and working with the Youth Ministry. Everyone knew that she loved all the children at Zion Pilgrim as if they were her own. She will be missed by all those whose lives she so lovingly touched.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Julianne Thompson; and her sisters, Julie Lee Carter and Barbara Koger.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Cloudia are her husband, Arthur Lee Price; her son, James (Kaye) Leysath, daughters, Gisele Price, Portia (Jerry) Wilson and Tracy Scott; seven (7) grandchildren; six (6) great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.
