Christopher A. Johnson Obituary

Christopher Anthony Johnson was born November 5, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Benzenia  Myers Johnson and the late Edward (Mickey) Johnson.  He departed this earthly life on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Dorn VA Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina.

Christopher graduated from Clara Barton High School Class of 1984.  After graduation he began working for A & L Jewelry Company and later with Todisco Jewelry Company alongside his father.

Christoper was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Bluff Road where he faithfully served as a member of the Usher Board, the Gospel Choir and the Men’s Ministry.

He was family-oriented and dependable; whenever anyone was in need Christopher was always there.  His love for the New York Jets and playing the game of pool was unmatched.  Chris had a heart of gold, and he never met a stranger. Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those who loved and knew him.

In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by his nephew, Tyler Wester; and niece, Brittany Johnson.

Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memoires of Christopher are his loving daughter, Crystal (Mitchell) Johnson of Bronx, New York; loving mother, Benzenia Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina; caring brother, Edward (Kim) Johnson of Brooklyn, New York; loving sisters, Teresa (Lamar) Ansaar of Dover, Delaware, Deborah (Jeff) Johnson of Bronx, New York; Sheila Johnson of Clayton, Delaware, and Tracey Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina; adoring grandson, Zayden Leonidas of Bronx, New York; a host of nieces, nephews, and special friend, Denise Epps of Brooklyn, New York; and a host of  other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
