And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
– Revelation 14:13
Mr. Christopher Orlando McLamore was born April 5, 1973 in Columbia, South Carolina. He peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Chris, affectionately known as “Mac” was a graduate of Dreher High School Class of 1991 and he was a member of Victory Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Even with physical challenges, Chris loved the Lord and he knew that God loved him and the power of prayer. Chris thoroughly enjoyed his daily visits to Hope Bridge Adult Day Care Center. He loved the staff, arts and crafts, and especially picture day and the prom. Chris loved music, and he took great pride in being able to offer drinks and snacks when being visited at home. But most of all, Chris loved to LAUGH and enjoyed being with his family.
He was preceded in death by a close cousin, Timothy McLamore and two special aunts, Nancy McLamore-Johnson and Louise McLamore.
Chris is survived by his mother, Mary McLamore (Jimmy Livingston); grandparents Roosevelt and Eunice McLamore; sister, Tosha McLamore; three special sisters, Falisha McLamore-Brand (Pastor Timothy), Tammy McLamore-Jones (Antonio) and Terrencia McLamore-Adams (Kelsey); a special uncle and caregiver, Keith McLamore and a host of other loving relatives and friends, all of whom loved him immensely.
Chris will be missed by all who loved him, but his memories will live on with us.
