Charlie Jackson, Jr.

Charlie Jackson, Jr., was born March 31, 1959 in Columbia, SC.  God called his name and he answered on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 after serving him faithfully with his whole heart, mind, and soul.  He was the beloved son of the Late Reverend Charlie and Frances Moore Jackson, Sr. 

Charlie was a graduate of Spring Valley High School.  He was employed with Overheads Doors of Columbia, SC for over 35 years where he retired. 

Charlie loved his family and spending time with them.  He was the cook of the family and everybody loved his cooking.  e was the He loved hunting and fishing.  When Charlie wasn’t cooking, hunting or fishing, he could be found sitting on his front porch.  Charlie especially loved teaching his grandchildren how to hunt and fish.  He was friendly and very outgoing and was loved by his community.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he was predeceased in death by Luvenia Outen, Sarah Boykin Harris, Nathaniel Boykin, Richard Boykin, Ernest Boykin and Floyd Boykin.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife, Ivy R. Jackson; children, Cleavon Wilson, Tamira, Makayla and  Jalisa Jackson; granddaughters, Zinary Wilson, Kayleaha Hutchins and Dsani Smith; god-daughter, Jaliza Williams; siblings,  Bobby Lee Boykin, Clarence (Alice) Boykin, Henry Boykin, Jerry (Barbara) Jackson, Arlie (Robert) Martin, Ernestine Rhodes, and Mary Jackson; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and dear friends who loved him dearly.
