Charles Edward Frasier Obituary

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.   (II Timothy 4:7-8)

Mr. Charles Edward Frasier affectionately known as “Bugga” departed this earthly life on April 19, 2021 at Veterans Hospital in Columbia, SC.  He was born on August 13, 1966 in Georgetown, South Carolina to Laverne and Etta Frasier. He has two sisters that preceded him to his resting place, his twin sister Charlena Frasier of Hemingway, SC, sister Barbara Ann Frasier of Hemingway, SC, his brothers Willie Joe Frasier of Boston, Massachusetts and his oldest brother Paul Turner of Hemingway, SC.

He was educated in the public schools of Roxbury, MA and was a 1985 graduate of Jeremy Brooks High School.  He resided in Boston, MA for a period of time before returning to his home in South Carolina. He accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior and was baptized at Progressive Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Hopkins, SC.

In 2003, while working in a computer repair store, he met Sheila Harris. They had an instant connection and became best friends. Charles and Sheila began dating and Charles made a proposal to have her as his wife. Charles and Sheila were united in holy matrimony on July 2, 2011.

Charles was known to be a hardworking individual. He was currently employed as an IT consultant for NCR Corporation. Charles was known as the “music man.” He would be a local disc jockey for the community whenever there was an event. In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing computers and installing computer software for individuals in the community and was called Top Dog.

Charles was an avid New England Patriots fan, often criticizing other NFL teams.  He always looked forward to football season, boasting and bragging about his favorite football team. He was a meek and humble spirited individual. He was a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of many who loved, admired, and respected him.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Sheila Harris of the home; children Ahmauri Frasier of the home, Atavia Harris of Atlanta, GA, Airion Harris of West Columbia, SC, Tynayah Frasier, Charles Frasier, Jr., Dajuan Frasier, Corey Jackson, and Tayjaha Wilson all of Boston, MA; parents Laverne and Etta Frasier of Hemingway, SC; sisters Rosa Gagum of Hemingway, SC , Loretta Frasier of Oceanside, California, brother Marion Frasier of Boston, MA; Natashia Griffin, Folisha Griffin, and Lakeesha Lewis of Florida; Grandchild Amira; mother in-law Cora Cunningham of Gadsden, SC; four brother-in-laws, Webber Cunningham, Quincy Cunningham, Robert (Cheryl) Harris, all of Hopkins, SC and James Cunningham of Gadsden, SC; three sister-in-laws, Aletha Cunningham, Roberta (David) Pringle, all of Gadsden, South Carolina and Margarita Ladson of Columbia, SC; special cousin/twin Angela Lang of Columbia, SC and special uncle Reverend John Allen Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family, and sorrowing friends.
