Charles Penny, III

Charles Penny, Jr.  was born November 3, 1968, the beloved son of  Mrs. Augustine (Tyler) Penny and  Charles Penny, Sr.  He went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 23, 2026 at Sunrise.

“Bang” as he was affectionately called was educated in the public schools of Richland School District One and was a graduate of A. C. Flora High School in the class of 1987.

Charles began working as an electrician at United Electric Company  right after high school. His most recent employment was at St. Joseph's Catholic School where he left such a remarkable impression on all of the  students and staff.  They have expressed how hard it will be to replace someone with his work ethic and personality.  Charles was truly loved by all those whose lives he so lovingly touched.

Charles loved playing Chess and he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy Fan.  He loved making people laugh and would not leave a room without having made a lasting impression.  He will be sorely missed by all those who loved and knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pearline Wheeler; grandfather, John Jones; and uncle, Donnie Tyler.

Charles leaves to treasure his memory his loving mother, Augustine “Tina” Penny; his uncle, Stanley (Charlene) Tyler; and a host of cousins, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
