Chanel Jene' Sherman

Chanel Jené Sherman, born October 6, 1983 in Yonkers New York to Rafaela Sher­man and Charles Goggins, was the second of two children. On March 13, 2020, she made her transition. Chanel knew and loved God. She made her confession of faith in 1991 at Holy Bible Church of Hickory Ridge. She was baptized in June, 2001.

Chanel attended Elementary school in Columbia, SC. In 1999, Chanel attended Pelham Middle school in Pelham, New York, where she ran track and received many awards. In 2003, she returned to South Carolina and attended Lower Richland High school in Hopkins, SC. She was a member of the Volleyball team and she ran track. She received multiple awards for her athletic ability. Chanel was a track star!

Chanel, enjoyed fishing, collecting angels and life in general. She was artistic and she love to read. Nelly loved cooking; she was a good cook!

Chanel leaves behind her mother, Rafaela (Jeff) Sherman Taylor of Leesville, SC; a brother, Joseph (Nicole) Faustin; a host of nieces and nephews, two aunts, Bobbi Sherman Cotto of Queens, NY, Reverend Yvette (Bret) Whiting of Hopkins, SC; an uncle, Ramel (Linda) Sherman of New Rochelle, NY, a host of cousins, friends and her beloved puppy, Beautiful.
