Casey Bernard Gladney, Jr. was born August 30, 1993, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved son of Sherl Jones Logan and Casey Gladney, Sr. He departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.
“CJ,” as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Richland School District One graduating from Eau Claire High School. He continued his education at Coker University. He worked at McDonalds and Popeyes of Columbia, where he enjoyed making people’s workday great.
CJ was known for his kindness, generosity, contagious smile, energy and being the life of any event that he attended. He enjoyed making clothes, cooking, dancing and helping to be a positive role model for the children in his family.
Those who preceded Casey in death are his grandmother, Sandra K. Brown and Christine Gladney; grandfathers, Climmel Brown and Freddie Gladney, Sr.; uncles, Steven Jones and Sutorey King; and his aunt, Lisa Harrell.
Those who will forever cherish fond and precious memories of are his loving mother, Sherl (Jonas) Logan of Columbia, SC; and father, Casey (Denise) Casey Gladney, Sr. of Georgia; his caring grandmother, Laven (Charlie) Goodwin of Columbia, SC; loving sisters, Angela “John” Gladney and Davianna Richardson, both of Columbia, SC; and his devoted brother, Jacorey Gladney of Georgia; his god-son, Zaylnn Morris; favorite cousin, Jaquanda Manning; best friend, Tyler Etheridge; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss.
