Carrie Gallman was born on April 29, 1928 to the late Samuel and Aletha Wilder in Manning, SC. She departed this earthly life on February 22, 2021.
She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. She worked in the Environmental Services department for AT&T.
She was married to the late Alexander Thomas, Sr and later remarried the late Ralph Gallman.
She was a faithful member of First Nazareth Baptist church for over 80 years. She was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post 4262. She enjoyed cooking, reading and spending quality time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and a great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her sons, Alexander (Deborah) Thomas, Jr of Denver Colorado, Anthony Thomas of Tampa, FL; daughters, Rosalyn Ross and Dorothy Gallman of Columbia SC; grandsons, whom she raised, Sean Ross of Tampa, FL, Darrell Ross and Kennard Gallman of Columbia, SC; a special cousin, Mildred Dickerson; life time friends, Ella Mae Dilligard, Elizabeth Brown, Betty Cleckley and Joseph Ruffin; as well as many other grands, great-great grands, great-great–great grands and a host of other relatives and friends.
