Carolyn Wise Jones

Carolyn Wise Jones was born December 21, 1953, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Elbert and Mary Hardy Wise.  On Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the age of  69, she departed this life to be with her heavenly father.

Carolyn attended Richland County Public Schools graduating from Eau Claire High School in 1973.  She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Baptist Medical Center and the South Carolina Department of Mental Health as a Mental Health Specialist B for many years.

Carolyn loved her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.  She was a dedicated member of Dennis Chapel Baptist Church.  Carolyn was a woman of strong faith and finished her journey strong.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Willie Hardy; and a sister, Cora L. Cobb.

Carolyn is lovingly survived by her two daughters, Tamara (Richard) Heatley and Cleva Willams, both of Columbia, SC; special son, Michael Williams of Tennessee; grandchildren, Ebonee (Kim) Hart-Williams, Rayvon Jones, Jordan Williams, Joshua Williams, Ja’Quan Heatley, Kingston Heatley, Kishara Heatley, Jordan Anderson, and Richard Heatley, Jr.; great-grand, Dawn Hart-Williams; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other loving relatives and dear friends.

We are forever grateful to have had this time with Carolyn and her passing will forever leave a void in the hearts of all who loved and knew her.
