Carolyn Fay

Ms. Carolyn Fay was born on December 29, 1963, in Columbia, South Carolina.  She was the beloved and youngest child born to the late Calvin and Ruthie M. Fay.  She departed from this side to God’s glorious kingdom on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, in Columbia, South Carolina.

Carolyn was baptized at an early age by her late grandmother, Pastor Elizabeth Fay, at Cappadocia Fire Baptize Holiness Church.  She later joined Bethel AME Church and attended faithfully until her health declined.

Carolyn was educated in the public schools of Richland County, where she graduated from C. A. Johnson High School.

Even though she never had children of her own, she loved all children, and they loved her in return.

Carolyn was and will always be remembered as a young lady who lived life her way, on her terms, and on her own time.

Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Van Murray.

Those who will forever cherish Carolyn’s fond and precious memories are her sisters, Sederest Brown and Sonya Goins-Fay, her caring and devoted caregiver; and her brother, Dale (Diane) Murray; a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss her dearly, but rejoice that she is resting with the Lord.
