Carol Norris

“I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course; I have kept my faith.”

Ms. Carol Norris, affectionately known as “Calow” was born on December 24, 1964 in Columbia, SC. She was the third eldest child to Mrs. Ernestine Anderson and the late Edward Norris, Sr. She went home to eternal peace on January 23, 2021.

Calow attended public school in Richland County School District One. She graduated in 1983 from Dreher High School. She was employed at various places as a housekeeper and later retired. She always was strong and fought a good fight for a long time, while God carried her through her sickness and health.

Calow was baptized at an early age and later joined First Nazareth Baptist Church. She was a vibrant and virtuous woman. God was always her best friend.

Calow was preceded in death by her father, Edward Norris, Sr; brothers, Toney Weston, Eugene Dwight Weston and her granddaughter, Destiny M. Reese.

Carol Norris leaves to cherish her everlasting loving memories, her children, Melissa Norris, Denise Nicole Norris, Charles Eugene Norris (Latosha Wilson), Richard Edward Norris (Vivian White) all of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Keiauntae Holmes (Daija Parks), Ashanti Reese, Miquise Fulwiley, ShaKur Norris, Kashaan Shims, Charles Norris, Jr, Braydon Norris; great-grandchildren, Kaylie Holmes; brother. Edward Norris III; sister, Canaria Norris; special people in her life, Annette Goodwin and James; special cousin, Brenda Mack and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom will miss her dearly.
