Carmen Dwight Obituary

Mrs. Carmen Lewis Dwight   was born on September 13, 1973 in Furth (i.Bayern), Germany.  She was the only child born to Wilbert and Johanna Lewis.  Carmen departed this life late Thursday night, November 19, 2020 at Richland Memorial Hospital.

Carmen graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1992, where she married the love of her life for 28 years, Tyrone Dwight (Boobas).  He was a devoted caretaker that never left her side.

Carmen entered the workforce during high school serving at Rush’s Restaurant followed by numerous occupations.  Her final employment was at the Social Security office until her health declined.

She worshipped faithfully at Zion Damascus Baptist #1 where she served on the Missionary Board and was a member of the “Women of Faith” group.  Carmen was always willing to go above and beyond to support the church financially and with her delicious baked goods. She was the epitome of Faith and Strength.

Carmen was blessed with so many gifts that she shared with so many people.  Her loving mother taught her how to crochet, which led her into making blankets, quilts, clothes, and so much more.  She was well-known for her delicious recipes that would make you cheat on your diet.  Carmen’s talents also led her to start her own business “Divine Pastries”, where she sold delicious pastries for people and pets.  She loved her four-legged babies and shopping.

Those left to cherish her beautiful and fond memories are: Her devoted husband, Tyrone Dwight; three children: Ms. Giovanna Dwight of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Mr. Giovanni (Brishaiy) Dwight of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Ms. Naomi Dwight of Columbia, SC.  She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren; Bailee Johnson, Jassiah Dwight, Gianni Dwight, and Giovanni Dwight.  In- law; Rev. William and Thelma Dwight, four brother in-laws and two sister in-laws and a host of loving relatives and friends to cherish her beautiful and fond memories.  She will truly be missed.
