Carlos Eugene Richardson was born October 12, 1968, in Ridgeway, South Carolina, the beloved son of Daisy Robertson Richardson and the late Ernest Richardson. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Columbia, South Carolina.
Carlos was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County and graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1986. After graduating, he joined the United States Navy where he served as an Air Traffic Controller on the U. S. Independence, serving in the Gulf War. After receiving an Honorable Discharge he returned to South Carolina and began working at Richtex Bricks until 1997 and then was employed with Shakespeare Company LLC.
In 1992, he met his wife, Jackie Williams, with whom he shared thirty-three years.
Carlos loved sports and was a diehard Florida State and Miami Dolphins fan, who will be remembered as a dedicated, hardworking family man. Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those who loved and knew him.
In addition to his father, Carlos was also preceded in death by his older brother, Efrem; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Mary Belle Graham Richardson; and maternal grandparents, Jeff and Ella Belle Addison Robertson.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Jackie W. Richardson; daughters, Olivia Richardson, Mona Ferguson, Ashley Sims and Shawn Anitia Ferguson; son, David Ferguson; his mother, Daisy R. Richardson; brothers, Antoine Ford, and Ernest Richardson, Jr; and his sister, Shondra Richardson; a host of grandchildren; nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
