Brenda Ramey Mikell

Mrs. Brenda Ramey was born on October 13, 1957 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of the late Solomon and Ella Pearl Ramsey. She was one of four sisters who loved and cared for each other beyond measure. Brenda leaves this earth as an unforgettable wave in the ocean of human expression to those that loved and knew her. On Tuesday, September 9, 2021, after a hard and unapologetic fight with heart failure, she was finally called home to be at peace.

Brenda attended the public school system of Columbia, SC ultimately achieving an Associates Degree of Midland Technical College. She attended Francis Marion Methodist Church for years until her health began to decline.

She was united in holy matrimony to Gregory Van Mikell who survives her in death. This union was 43 years of marriage and the gifts of three children and three grandchildren. Brenda was loving and devoted mother and grandmother who never hesitated to offer a kind word of comfort and support or an honest reminder to be real. She will forever be missed in the lives of those left behind as they continue their journey.

The loved ones she leaves behind to carry the strength of her memory in their hearts are her devoted husband, Gregory Mikell; her three children, Dion, Corey and Kinn Mikell; her only surviving sister, Phyllis Adams; sister-in law, Pilar Mikell; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Wyatt; three nieces, two nephews, three aunts a host of cousins, relatives and friends. We will remember her for all time to come.
