Mr. Bobby Huggins was born March 21, 1955 in Hartsville, SC to the late Bertley and Mary Montgomery Huggins. Bobby transitioned to Heaven on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Prisma Health Baptist.
Mr. Huggins graduated from A.C Flora High School of Richland County, SC where he excelled in basketball, football, and many other sports.
He would enter the workforce at an early age, working in a variety of jobs to include Davis Paint and Body where he would eventually retire due to health conditions.
During these years of employment, the bond between Bobby and the Davis family progressed to the point where he lovingly integrated the Davis family as beloved additions to his own family of ten siblings.
Bobby was a hard worker and good friend to many. He loved deep sea fishing, swimming, motorcycle riding and good music
He was outspoken, always the life of the party, and a dedicated fan of the USC Gamecocks. Bobby was a lot of things to a lot of people, but in all honesty, family and friends alike affectionately knew Bobby as a bonafide “hell raiser” because come rain or shine, you could always count on him to get things started. (It is okay to smile or even laugh a little because, for those who really knew him, we know it’s the truth and we loved him, regardless).
He was preceded in death by Elvin Huggins of Alexander, VA, Bertley Huggins of Columbia, SC, Robert Lee Huggins of Columbia, SC, Billy Huggins of Columbia, SC, Roosevelt Huggins of Hampton, VA and James Edward Huggins of Columbia, SC.
Bobby leaves to cherish his memories, a loving wife of 42 years, Sandra Huggins of Columbia, SC; three sons: Bobby (Angie) Steele of Columbia, SC; Antoine (Marquita) Diggs of Newberry, SC; and Reggie Robinson of Columbia, SC; one daughter, Tai (Robert) Meredith, of Washington, DC; one sister: Minnie Huggins Geiger of Columbia, SC; three brothers, James Huggins of Lamar, SC; Gene (Loretta) Huggins of Columbia, SC; and Willie Huggins of Columbia, SC.; one Aunt: Fonza Lee Pooler of Hartsville, SC; Eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.
