Bobbie Ann Scott was born August 4, 1955, in Richland County South Carolina, the beloved daughter of Annie Bell Scott and the late Jessie James Scott, Sr. Bobbie Ann entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center, in West Columbia, South Carolina.
“Bay” as she was affectionately called by family and friends was educated in the public schools of Richland County School District One and Two. She worked and retired from Rice Estates where she worked in custodial services.
Bobbie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Though she is no longer physically with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever live in the hearts and lives of all those who loved and knew her.
In addition to her father, Bobbie was also preceded in death by her sister, Mamie Mealing; daughter, Lou Ann Scott; and her husband, Nelson Brown, Sr.
Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of Bobbie Ann are her loving and caring sons, Nelson (Renee) Brown and Pedro Brown, both of Columbia, SC; ten adoring grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; her loving mother, Annie Bell Scott of Columbia, SC; loving sisters, Jessie Mae Dreher, Geraldine Harris, and Gloria (Ronnie) Bibbins, all of Columbia, SC; caring brothers, Jessie James Scott, Jr. of Columbia, SC and Frank James (Gwen) Scott of Hinesville, GA; bonus sister, Annie Mae Jacobs; a host of nephew, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss her.
