Betty J. Jackson

On November 3, 1949, in Pickens, Arkansas, Reola Bell and Asberry Herman Bealer, Sr. welcomed baby girl, Betty Jewel Bealer Jackson. Though born to her parents, Betty Jewel and her brother Asberry Jr. were largely influenced by her grandmother, Gussie Watson, who served as the midwife at her birth. While under the love and care of her family, the Lord called his faithful servant home on the morning of Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Betty received her formal education in Dumas Public School System and was a graduate of Reed High School Class of 1968. After graduating high school, Betty attended college at Arkansas A & M. In 1970, Betty relocated to Los Angeles, California with then husband Franklin Jackson. They then moved to Mojave, California where they lived there for over 20 years and raised three sons, Ramone, Delnor and Marlon Jackson.

During this time, Betty was as a devoted mother, wife and servant of God. She was a devoted member of Eternal Life Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of the late Bishop Grover Talley.  During her tenure at Eternal Life, she served in the ministry of feeding the homeless, the Usher Board and a teacher of the Sunshine Band and Young People Willing Workers (YPWW).

In 1990, Betty and her family moved to Wichita, Kansas and attended Mason Memorial Church of God in Christ under Pastor Dickson. There she was called to begin her journey and training as a Missionary in the Church of God in Christ. After life transitions, she relocated to South Bend, Indiana to serve in the ministry with longtime friends, The Dickersons at Saints Memorial Church of God in Christ under Superintendent the late Carl J. Steen.  Betty later attended Charles Harris Mason System of Bible Colleges, attained her Associates and later her Bachelor’s degree in Bible Studies and was elevated to Evangelist Missionary Betty Jackson.

Betty lived a life of prayer and devotion to her family and God. In December of 2018, her eldest son, Ramone Jackson flew to Dallas, Texas where she resided with her late brother, Asberry Bealer Jr. and relocated her to Columbia, South Carolina. Upon her return she worshiped at Greater Refuge Temple Church of God in Christ under Dr. Wayne Penn Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Asberry and Reola; sister, Faye Thomas; brothers, Velasque Bealer, Fred Bealer, Bobby Robinson, Timmy Jackson, Sanders Bealer, John Bealer, Asberry Herman Bealer, Jr., and Barry L. Rice.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Ramone (Eronda) Jackson of South Carolina, Delnor Jackson of Kansas, and Marlon Jackson of Kansas; brothers, Anderson Bealer and Kenneth Bealer of Texas, Arthur Holmes of Michigan; Arthur Bealer, and Sandy Bealer of Arkansas; sisters, Joice Hoskin-Banks, of Oklahoma, Judy Burns and Caroline Holley, Eunice Woods of Arkansas and Patricia Hills, Gustavia McCarrell of South Carolina, grandchildren, Deasha Jackson, Demartae Jackson, Deja Jackson, Marzell Jackson, Aniya Jackson, Myles Jackson and Daquan Jackson, great-grandchildren and host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
